It's tough for Australia to break new ground.

The top summits have long been mastered.

We're talking about the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, those for the peak baggers, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

That it took until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

It's difficult for their batters to hold a record if not provided the possibility.

"An opportunity to take the field and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

Once she was removed her side needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I'm happy we have the confidence to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, if we do, we believe we can do it."

These statements will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this championship want to hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has grown stronger - this success coming after success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.
